The Black Dollar Initiative researches Black equity data from top consumer-facing corporations across multiple points of impact that reflect Black Representation, Supplier Diversity, DEI Initiatives, Community Investments, and Racial Discrimination Claims.
The data below is from fiscal years 2023-2024 and will continue to be updated as corporations begin publishing reports in 2025. When exploring representation data, please note, the Black Population (US) = 13.7%.

In 2023 we created Open Kitchen a new event series that gives up and coming Black chefs a chance to grow their clientele and gain exposure for their culinary businesses kicking off in partnership with world, renowned chef Marcus Samuelson, passing current Black Kitchen Initiative grants will take over high profile restaurant, kitchens and exclusive pop-up experiences. | We celebrated our fourth annual Kraft Heinz Day of Service on June 19, 2023, to honor and commemorate Juneteenth by encouraging our U.S. and Canada employees to mobilize their time, talent, and treasure for change. Employees heard from James Beard Award-Winning chef Eric Williams of Chicago’s Virtue Restaurant & Bar. He shared his career journey, the role of food in Black culture and community, and how allies have influenced his journey. The Heinz Black Kitchen Initiative (BKI) team brought to life “The Black Kitchen Series” podcast by inviting host Jade Verette to moderate a Fireside Chat with Chef Amethyst Ganaway and Galveston Historical Foundation’s Chair of African American Heritage, Tommie Boudreaux. Through partnerships with Generus, Goodr, and WeLoveU organizations, employees supported families and individuals across Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Toronto by volunteering to pack groceries, build STEM Education Kits, and clean up local parks.
